The UAE has decided to open a joint account with UNRWA and contribute $15 million to support Jenin and its camp,based on the directives of the President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
Certainly the UAE is supporting the operations and services of UNRWA in order to provide urgent aid to Palestinian families.
As the losses in Jenin and its camp are huge due to the recent Israeli attacks.
In a phone call, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed the cooperation between the UAE and UNRWA.
During his conversation with Philippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA Commissioner-General, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed discussed the cooperation between the UAE and UNRWA.
Along with the suitable ways to support the agency in various fields.
Also, they discussed the important and pivotal role played by the agency in improving the lives of Palestinian refugees.
In addition, His Highness reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast commitment to support and help UNRWA to overcome the huge challenges.
Since the UNRWA is still carrying out the operations entrusted to it by the United Nations.
Also the UAE supports the UNRWA in fulfilling its noble mission in improving the conditions of Palestinian refugees so they can have a decent life.
He praised the agency services for Palestinian refugees and thanked the agency staff in Jenin and its camp for providing health and social care.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the need for international efforts to stop the ceasefire violations.
The President Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed on the immediate need to stop the ceasefire violations and revive the peace process in the Middle East.
Besides that he confirmed that UAE supports all the regional and international efforts in this regard.
As well as putting an end for the illegal practices that threaten the achievement of the two-state solution.
Along with the establishment of independent Palestinian with East Palestine and its capital Al Quds on the 1967 borders.
Philippe Lazzarini appreciated the UAE continuous support for the UNRWA.
Also he praised the UAE’s latest announcement of allocating $20 million to support UNRWA earlier this year.
