This is the first project of its kind in the republic, with the support of the United Arab Emirates.

The project reduces $100 millions of electricity consumption per month which was consumed by Aden alone.
Also, this project is expected to finish within this month.
Abu Dhabi Fund for Development is carrying out this project.

Moreover, this project includes the construction of a 120 megawatt solar power plant per hour.
As well as the construction of transmission lines and substations to transmit and distribute the power generated by the plant later.

  • The expanded food basket program was implemented in Taiz, Hodeidah, Marib, Jawf, and Qat’abah district.

Hassan Dam project in the delta of Abyan:

-The cost of the first phase was about $78 million.
-The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development funds about 80% of the dam project.
-Its cost reaches 98.582 million dollars.
-The Yemeni government only bears 20% of the cost of the dam.
-Dam will create a qualitative agricultural shift.
-The collection area for Hassan Dam is 3,200 square kilometers.
-The area of the dam lake is about 2.4 square kilometers.
-About 13,000 households will benefit directly from the dam as planned.
-10,000 hectares of agricultural land will be irrigated as planned.

We hope that this support by the UAE government will help improve the lives of the Yemeni people.
