Farah Ballout, Project Manager at INVNT, explains the vision behind the artwork:
“The Tree of Life symbolizes stability and peace.
It was made in the UAE and designed for future repurposing.
The steel structure will be melted down, the styrofoam cladding transformed into bean bags, and the processors used for future immersive installations.”
Beyond its physical transformation, the Tree of Life fosters a connection between visitors and the crucial themes of COP28.
The artwork on screens around the base guides individuals to participate in a pledge.
It also encourages them to reflect on their commitment to sustainability.

The tree of life is allowing participants to download their digital pledge and revisit it long after the conference ends.

This is a very smart initiative, to get people to think about how they can contribute in various spheres around matters related to environmental conservation.
