The First Sustainable Mobile Hospital in the UAE, a new clean energy initiative.
The National Meeting of the UAE Volunteer Medical Reserve Support Teams in Abu Dhabi has launched the first sustainable mobile field hospital.
The hospital is working on solar energy, in an innovative and unprecedented initiative at the global level.
Moreover, the initiative launchers are:
The UAE Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (Jahaziya) and the European Center for Disaster Medicine.
As well as and Abu Dhabi Center for Disaster Medicine.
The experimental launch of the sustainable Mobile hospital coincides with COP28 conference.
The hospital aims at finding clean solutions for health problems.
This is by innovating and designing clean, green mobile field hospitals powered by solar energy.
That provide health, awareness, and training services in various countries around the world.
In fact, the hospital has a capacity of 200 beds and it is being operated gradually.
It also includes departments of general surgery, orthopedic surgery, children’s, women’s, anesthesia, intensive care for children and adults.
In addition to clinics in the specialties of internal medicine, cardiology, dentistry, a psychological clinic, family medicine.
As well as CT scan services, laboratory, pharmacy, and supporting medical services.

Innovative addition
The first mobile field hospital represents an innovative and unprecedented addition to the UAE’s initiatives in the field of clean energy.
Because it will provide a qualitative leap in the field of health services, training, and scientific research.
Health workers from the first line of defense will be trained on the management and operation of sustainable field hospitals.
While this will be under the supervision of the UAE Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (Jahaziya).
Local operation
The pilot phase of operating the sustainable UAE mobile field hospital will begin locally in various emirates of the country.
With the aim of training and building the capabilities of medical cadres in the field and community medicine in various specialties.
And also enabling them to serve the community and repay the homeland.
Field lectures were made in the hospital, and also provided a fertile environment for adopting initiatives in the field of medical innovation, specialized training, and voluntary health.
During the past years, the Jahaziya program has succeeded in attracting, building the capabilities.
And also in empowering 5,000 of the medical workers in the state’s hospitals from the first line of defense with knowledge and practical and field skills.
In accordance with a unified and internationally accredited methodology to increase their readiness to respond to community medical care in non-emergency and humanitarian cases and in emergency cases.
