The 23rd edition of Airport Show kicks off at Dubai World Trade Centre

The Airport Show is the world’s largest annual event dedicated to the airport industry in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.
The event kicked off today at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), running until May 16, 2024.

Industry outlook for 2024 and beyond:

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) expects 2024 to be a “landmark year for the recovery of global passenger traffic.”
Passenger traffic will reach 9.4 billion passengers, surpassing the 2019 record of 9.2 billion passengers.

While international passenger traffic is going to grow to 4.4 billion international passengers by 2026.
Air traffic movements are also expected to grow to 111.6 million by 2026, with airports worldwide expected to handle 153.8 million flights by 2041.
