Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Checking the Updates of TAZIZ project
A team from ADNOC, led by H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, briefed HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Al Dhafra Region Ruler Representative, on “TAZIZ” project advancements.
TAZIZ, a chemical and transitional fuel system, is poised to bolster the UAE’s industrial, economic, and social development.
The project, situated in Ruwais’s industrial city, is a testament to the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development and economic diversification.
The briefing highlighted TAZIZ’s use of cutting-edge technology.
Moreover, by using technology, TAZIZ is minimizing emissions and enhancing efficiency.
This marks a significant step in establishing the UAE as a global petrochemical hub.
Stronger Industrial Sector
For the first time in the UAE, the project will enable local manufacturing of numerous end products.
Thereby strengthening the industrial sector—a key driver of economic prosperity.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed praised TAZIZ’s role in enhancing Al Dhafra’s investment appeal.
And also for its contribution to the creation of job opportunities for Emirati professionals.
The project’s strategic significance was underscored, with its first phase set to produce 4.7 million tons of chemicals annually.
Scaling up to 11.1 million tons by 2031.
62 billion dirhams to develop new value chains
As per expectations, this phase will inject 180 billion dirhams into the economy and generate 6,500 specialized jobs.
Furthermore, TAZIZ and its partners plan to invest 62 billion dirhams in developing new value chains for products.
Such as: ethylene oxide and synthetic rubber.
