Exactly 300 days ago for the UAE to welcome the world to Expo 2020 Dubai, Swatch, the official event provider, began the final stage of its journey to the next World Expo with its launch for the countdown clock in the Dubai frame.

Swatch prepares for Expo 2020 Dubai

In a virtual event on Saturday, Swatch introduced the official countdown clock to Expo 2020 Dubai, where Karim Nassar, an Egyptian-born professional skater who grew up in Dubai, took online viewers on an exciting journey through Dubai before reaching the Dubai frame to start the clock.

Pushing the boundaries of creativity and chasing constant progress, Swatch is known for its partnerships with pioneering athletes and has been on the skating rink since the 1980s.

The exhibition is the latest chapter in Swatch’s history. For the past 34 years, Swatch has been an official partner in five exhibitions: 1986 in Canada, 1992 in Spain, 1998 in Portugal, 2010 in China, and 2015 in Italy.

The exhibition will be held from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, and is preparing to revive its theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Swatch Surprises

There are many Swatch surprises to watch out for as the grand opening date for the next World Expo approaches, including the launch of the Swatch IBTIKAR – the official watch for Expo 2020, designed only for the event. The name IBTIKAR represents innovation, and the design features the Exhibition logo, which is inspired by a ring found at a 4,000-year-old archaeological site in the desert.
