Dubai Electricity and Water Authority renames its innovation center
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced the renaming of its innovation center to become the Sustainability and Innovation Center.
This move aligns with DEWA’s efforts to enhance sustainability in Dubai.
Especially in light of the extended Year of Sustainability in the United Arab Emirates.
DEWA’s vision is to be a globally leading, sustainable, and innovative institution committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Sustainability and Innovation Center: A global incubator for innovation
The Sustainability and Innovation Center is located within Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
It serves as a global incubator for innovation across various fields of renewable and clean energy.
Moreover, it provides a unique educational environment by organizing and hosting purposeful programs and events throughout the year.
The center also builds strategic partnerships with local and international institutions and raises awareness about sustainability.
The center visitors can explore the latest innovations in sustainability and clean energy technologies.
The exhibition area on the first floor highlights DEWA’s journey.
As well as its historical inventions in the field of electricity, and the latest developments in renewable and sustainable energy.
Innovative drone displays and hologram technology enhance the visitor experience.
By using metaverse technology, the center offers a unique virtual journey through various parts of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park—the world’s largest single-site solar energy park following the independent power producer model.
The Sustainability and Innovation Center welcomes visitors from Saturday to Wednesday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and on Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Hologram shows take place every Sunday and Wednesday at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
The center offers discounted ticket prices for children and students, as well as free tickets for people of determination.
Tickets can be booked through the website www.mbrsic.ae or the smart app (MBRSIC) for the center.
