Space Sector Contributions in the UAE National Economy reached a high level.
H.E Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Public Education and Advanced Technology, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Space Agency announcement.
Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri announced in a tweet posted on her account on “X” platform 2023 Space Economic Survey was launched.
Moreover, it is a step aimed at measuring the contribution of the space sector to the national economy.
As well as providing a clear picture of the system of this strategic and leading sector.
In addition, Her Excellency said:
“The survey aims to measure the performance of the national space sector.
And also to support its growth and enhance the position of the UAE, making it a leading global center for innovation.
Since the UAE is attracting skills and investments.”
Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri invited all UAESA partners to contribute to achieving its goals.
H.E Sarah Al Amiri said: “The UAE Space Agency has invited its strategic partners.
And also its entities and companies operating in the national space sector to participate in this survey.
Also, to contribute to achieving its goals, which aims to understand its needs and enhance national capabilities.”
Through the tweet, Her Excellency revealed the results of the 2022 Space Economic Survey.
Moreover, the Survey is on the performance of the space sector for the year 2021.
In cooperation with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center.
2022 Space Economic Survey showed several results.
In fact, the spending on research and development in the field of space exploration accounted for 76.8% of total spending.
While Emirati cadres accounted for 38.5% of workers in the space field in the country.
The survey results also showed the participation of young Emiratis at a rate of 59.2% in the labor force in the national space sector.
