UAE Launches the Fourth Cohort of Fatima bint Mubarak Initiative
Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, ” the Mother of Nation,” the General Women’s Union (GWU) has launched the fourth cohort of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Initiative “Women, Peace and Security”.
Moreover, the initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense.
And also in coordination with the UN Women Liaison Office for GCC Countries.
The UAE is Promoting women’s participation in peace and security sectors
Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak expressed her pride in the UAE’s achievements.
Because the country is promoting women’s participation in peace and security sectors.
Her Highness highlighted that the initiative embodies the enlightened vision of the UAE’s leadership.
It is also reflecting their belief in the pivotal role of women in all fields as a cornerstone of societal development.
The initiative aims to empower women and enhance their participation in peacekeeping and conflict resolution efforts.
In addition, it provides participants with comprehensive training in military skills, peacebuilding, and human rights.
The program also includes leadership and communication training.
Consequently, women can develop the skills they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
Participants from 10 countries
The fourth cohort of the initiative includes participants from 10 countries:
The UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Tanzania, The Gambia, Liberia, Pakistan, Kosovo, and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Mentioning that the training will take place at the Khawla bint Al Azwar Military School in Abu Dhabi.
