Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has secured prestigious global rankings among the world’s top cultural and historical landmarks.
This is according to a report by TripAdvisor, the leading travel and tourism platform.
The rankings were based on an analysis of over 8 million reviews from travelers of various nationalities who rated the world’s most significant landmarks.
What are the Rankings of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque ?
The UAE had the highest number of tourist attractions in the Middle East.
While Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is emerging as the region’s most visited landmark.
In the “Top Attractions” category, the mosque took the 10th ranking globally.
Along with the 1st ranking in the Middle East among 25 global tourist attractions.
In the “Top Experiences” category, the mosque took the 17th ranking globally and the 2nd in the Middle East.
Specifically for the tour from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, which includes visits to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan, and Etihad Towers.
For “Top Cultural and Historical Experiences”, the mosque took the 3rd ranking globally, among 25 landmarks worldwide.
This marks a significant improvement from 2023.
As the mosque advanced five places in the Top Attractions category, three of them in Top Experiences, and four in Cultural and Historical Experiences.
A Testament to UAE’s Vision and Strategic Development
Dr. Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of Sheikh Zayed Mosque Center, emphasized that this global achievement reflects the UAE’s visionary leadership.
He credited the success to the center’s five-year strategic plan.
A key aspect of this success is the training of over 250 young Emiratis in cultural tour guiding and visitor services.
Through “Ibn Al Dar” program, part of “Youth Builder” initiative.
These professionals conduct over 5,000 cultural tours annually.
Serving more than 7 million global visitors.
