Sheikh Zayed Festival was lunched in Al Wathba Area in Abu Dhabi

Under the generous patronage of President of the State His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and under the directives of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the activities of the Sheikh Zayed Festival began today in the Al Wathba area in Abu Dhabi and will continue for three months, and followed-up of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Presidential affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and direct supervision by Adviser to His Highness the President of the State, President of the Camel Racing Federation and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Festival His Excellency Sheikh Sultan Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Zayed Festival Activities

The festival witnessed many major entertainment activities and shows suitable for all family members, as it includes theatres, 40 international popular neighbourhoods, and folkloric shows, and holds over 3,500 international cultural events, over 500 performances, and major public events, and attracts over 17,000 participants and exhibitors from around the world. Besides organizing over 100 workshops for children, they encourage them to develop their skills and explore their talents.

The festival includes thousands of international educational events and major mass entertainment events for dozens of participating countries that suit all family members, in addition to major pavilions and exhibitions of the UAE civilization.

The festival includes a wide range of the best local and international restaurants and fast food carts, where the restaurant areas witness a great presence by visitors to enjoy the presented international dishes with wonderful flavours, and it also provides multiple services such as nursery, baby strollers, the clinic, and many others, that take into account the needs of visitors.

The Main Shows of Sheikh Zayed Festival

Festival visitors enjoy hundreds of major shows, most notably the “Emirates and Laser Fountain” shows that are held every half hour every day, as the fountain has been developed with many modern additions, interesting and fun artistic performances, and dazzling fireworks displays that take place at 9:00 pm every Friday throughout the festival, and huge fireworks displays for the National Day and New Year’s celebrations.

The Festival Includes the Children’s World area

There is children’s world area, which is designated for children with an entertainment framework, and which summarizes its activities, activities and facilities, various educational and entertainment aspects, as it includes many workshops that encourage children to develop their skills and explore their talents.

Festival Awards

Through many daily competitions and raffles, the festival gives the visitors thousands of valuable prizes such as the “Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed International Festival of Purebred Arabian Horses” that are held daily in the evening at the festival stage, as well as the “Radio Theater” raffles and competitions that are also held during the period evening daily.
