Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, which provides medical and therapeutic services for critical cases, in partnership with Mayo Clinic and Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA”, has announced the resumption of all its services naturally to all members of society, whether for patients who want to visit outpatient clinics or who need to receive treatment within the medical city.

“Act today for better health tomorrow” campaign

On this occasion, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City launched an awareness campaign entitled “Act today for better health tomorrow”, with the aim of highlighting all preventive measures taken by the medical city to ensure the safety of patients and clients with its various services and encouraging them to initiate without hesitation to obtain the city’s health care services World-class.

In line with the directives of the rational leadership, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, which was recently declared free of COVID-19 cases, implemented additional precautionary measures in accordance with international safety best practices that include sterilization and disinfection operations throughout the medical city to ensure the safety and protection of patients and visitors. These include: Take precautions upon entry, for example: Measuring temperature and sterilizing hands.

Also, insulating glass walls were installed between the reception staff and patients in the registration and reception offices, and the waiting areas were redesigned in accordance with the safety distances guidelines. Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City has also set a new schedule to reduce the number of people dealing with medical services in all of its facilities.

Commenting on the resumption of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City to provide its services naturally, Dr. Nasser Ammash, CEO of Medical City said: “Patient health and safety is our top priority, and for that, we have taken strict measures to protect employees and patients in a proactive manner. We at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City offer world-class healthcare and medical services using the latest diagnostic facilities and technologies.

We are also keen to resume our mission of providing these high-end health services to the community. While we strive to restore this after we emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic, we are more careful than ever that patients who initiate our visitors receive the best possible care in the various facilities of the medical city safely. ”

Dr. Ammash added: “The state has taken great care to provide the best health care services to all members of society, so it is important and necessary to ensure that all age groups and medical conditions receive the medical and therapeutic services they need, especially after declaring that our medical city is free of patients as COVID-19, and from Yes, we want to urge everyone to come and visit us without hesitation and to avoid the risks that might result from delaying their access to diagnosis or treatment.

It should be noted here, that all facilities of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City are subject to sterilization and disinfection procedures around the clock, including public areas and anything that may come into contact with hands in waiting rooms and restrooms, door handles, lighting switches, and others. In addition, all medical personnel and staff are examined periodically and regularly to ensure they are not infected with the COVID-19 virus.

At the level of the internal facilities in the medical city, isolated therapeutic wards, internal corridors and gates are designated for entry to the community members who have symptoms of COVID-19 infection or who have come as a result of positive tests.
