His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation discussed, during a telephone conversation with Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, the strategic relations between the UAE and France and ways to enhance aspects of joint cooperation in all fields.

The phone call also discussed developments in the region and a number of regional and international issues of common concern, including Syria and Libya, and ways to enhance security in the eastern Mediterranean region.
The two sides affirmed support for efforts to reach a political solution to the Libyan crisis, which is the only solution to achieve security and stability in Libya and to preserve the unity and integrity of its lands.
They also affirmed their support for the Egyptian initiative to end the Libyan crisis and rejected Turkish interference in the Libyan issue that would prejudice the efforts of the international community to reach a political solution to the crisis.
His Highness and the French Minister of Foreign Affairs reviewed the developments of the emerging Coronavirus and the efforts of the two friendly countries to deal with its repercussions.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the strategic relations between the UAE and France that enjoy the support and care of the two leaderships of the two friendly countries. Stressing the constant eagerness to push forward the prospects for joint cooperation in all fields.

The visual communication also discussed the developments of the new Coronavirus pandemic and ways to enhance the collective international response to this challenge and the measures taken by the two countries during dealing with the pandemic. His Highness and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in the field of exchanging experiences and adopting advanced tests to detect infected cases with the virus.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his wishes of the friendly people of Northern Macedonia for safety and prosperity, praising the precautionary measures and measures taken in the face of the pandemic of Covid-19.
His Highness also affirmed keenness to develop bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of North Macedonia, and to enhance areas of cooperation The joint in a way that realizes the common interests of the two countries and brings about the good of both peoples.
