
Executive Council Meeting is held in presence of Crown Prince of Sharjah
The Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Sultan Al Qasimi, chaired this morning, in the presence of the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the weekly Sharjah Executive Council Meeting.
The Council extended its congratulations to Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, on the occasion of choosing Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi as President of the International Federation of Publishers, which affirms the confidence of the global publishing and culture sector in the efforts and makes up an achievement for Emirati and Arab women.
Sharjah Executive Council Meeting Topics
The Executive Council Meeting, which was held at the Ruler’s Office, discussed several issues related to developing government work and providing the best services for all residents of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Council approved the legislative authorization memorandum submitted by the Roads and Transport Authority regarding the list of new violations of toll gates, in order to regulate the passage of trucks through the gates and to keep pace with modern illegal behaviors.
The Council reviewed the presentation made by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) on tourism activities in the Central Region, to organize the high turnout in desert areas because of their distinctive environmental and tourism potentials and to enhance security and safety measures.
The presentation included a study of the current situation of the region and its most important features that make it a tourist destination and a review of best practices in the tourism sector whose growth increases with the onset of winter. The presentation concluded with several recommendations that the Council directed in coordination with the concerned authorities around it.
Sharjah Executive Council Meeting Decisions
The Council issued Resolution No. 35 of 2020 regarding violations of precautionary measures to confront the COVID-19 virus, and the decision included several administrative penalties for violating the precautionary measures in the workplace.
The Council also issued Resolution No. 36 of 2020 regarding the regulation of preventive training activities in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the decision stipulated that the Prevention and Safety Authority shall be competent to supervise training institutes in the emirate, test their performance, and ensure the quality of training services, which is to set controls, conditions, and standards for preventive training, and granting permits For training institutes wishing to practice preventive training under the controls and conditions and to test and accredit the training staff in economic establishments and training institutes, and to ensure their eligibility to practice preventive training tasks and works.
The decision also included the administrative and judicial disciplinary sanctions for the authority’s inspectors, and the requirements for a permit to practice preventive training activity, obligations, violations.
