The Saudi Super Cup Comes to Abu Dhabi:
The capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, will be the first Arab destination for the Saudi Super Cup in football.
The tournament will be from April 8 to 11 at two stadiums:
Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at Al Jazira Club and Al Nahyan Stadium at Al Wahda Club.
The Upcoming Edition of the Cup Brings Together Four Teams
The champions of the Saudi Professional League and the King’s Cup, the runners-up of both tournaments, namely:
Al-Ittihad, Al-Nasr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Wahda.
2015 edition was the first time for the tournament outside of Saudi Arabia.
Mentioning that it was at Loftus Road Stadium in London, England.
Overview
Al-Hilal won that edition against Al-Nasr with a score of 1-0, the same happened in the following two editions:
In 2016 at Craven Cottage Stadium in London, Al-Ahli won against Al-Hilal on penalties 4-3 after the regular and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw.
While in 2018 at Loftus Road Stadium, Al-Hilal won against Al-Ittihad 2-1.
However, 2017 edition was canceled.
The Saudi Super Cup launched in 2013 through a match between the league champion and the cup champion.
The system changed during the 2022-2023 season to include two additional teams.
So it now includes the winning and runner-up teams of both the King’s Cup and the Saudi Professional League.

Al-Hilal is the most crowned team in the Saudi Super Cup (3 times) in the editions of 2015, 2018, and 2021.
