Since the beginning of the holy month, the UAE has been implementing several Ramadan initiatives to provide:
Iftar meals, distribute Ramadan food, and offer Eid clothing.
In addition, the UAE is organizing various charitable, cultural, and religious events.
That embody the values and meanings of the holy month.
Emirates Red Crescent’s Ramadan Initiatives in Palestine, Jordan, Syria:
The ERC has launched a series of projects to alleviate the impact of the prevailing humanitarian situations in many countries.
It announced the expansion of its existing relief programs to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The ERC allocated AED 3 million to purchase basic commodities.
Such as rice, wheat, sugar, and beans from the Egyptian market.
These materials will help in operating 28 community kitchens in Gaza and 10 bakeries in the sector.
As part of its Ramadan programs in Jordan, the ERC continues to distribute Ramadan food rations to needy families.
It has also allocated several locations on the streets of the Kingdom to distribute “Iftar” meals.
The ERC also launched the Ramadan tournament for Syrian refugees at the “Mrejib Al Fuhoud” Emirati-Jordanian camp.
With 860 people participating in various competitions, including Quran memorization, cultural competitions, football, volleyball, tug-of-war, and chess.
UAE Goodness Reached 806,448 people in 44 countries Across The Continents
In Yemen, the ERC sponsored the longest Iftar table in Mukalla (2), “The Table of Goodness for the People of Goodness”.
It also launched “Ramadan Project” to distribute Ramadan food rations to cancer, thalassemia, and kidney failure patients.
In addition, ERC launched “The Week of Good Health” medical camp.
Which will continue to provide services until March 25th with the participation of a group of doctors and specialists.
In Indonesia, the ERC provides 10,000 Iftar meals daily during Ramadan to the worshipers at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Solo City.
In Burkina Faso, the ERC launched Ramadan 2024 food basket distribution project.
Which is implemented by “Al Rahma Humanitarian Organization” with the support of benefactors in the UAE.
The ERC also continues to implement the Iftar program and distribute food baskets until the end of the holy month in Pakistan.

This year, 806,448 people in 44 countries across the world benefit from the ERC’s Ramadan programs.
With expected cost of AED 14.7 million.
The UAE’s cross-continental Ramadan initiatives reinforce its position as a global capital of charity and humanitarianism.
They also highlight the values of compassion, tolerance, and giving that are deeply embedded in all sectors of the country and across all segments of society.
