Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi spoke with Prince Charles. On Monday the 20th of April the British Royal called the Sheikh. They discussed the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and international cooperation.

Sheikh Mohamed referred to Prince Charles as his dear friend. They spoke in depth about the developments in the Coronavirus situation. The Sheikh expressed his happiness at Prince Charles’ recovery from Coronavirus. In addition, he wished fast recovery to all of the people who the virus has affected. Furthermore, he extended his support to the people of the United Kingdom.
The conversation also brought up the topic of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Enhancing cooperation and exchanging ambassadors and diplomatic agents. This will strengthen the ties between the UAE and the United Kingdom.
How has Coronavirus affected the United Kingdom?
The UK is experiencing a large number of Coronavirus infections. Almost 130,000 people have contracted the virus. Over 17,000 people have died from COVID-19.
A quarantine is in effect in Great Britain. People cannot leave their homes except for essential reasons. Purchasing food, collecting prescriptions, or key workers going to work all count as essential reasons. However, people can take a walk or go for a run to get their daily exercise. Exercising outdoors is all good, but a one-hour maximum time is in place. There is talk of making face masks mandatory, in a similar way to the rules in the UAE right now.
The UK is running low on medical supplies. Hospital workers and healthcare professionals cannot get ahold of enough equipment to meet demands. The UK urgently needs critical medical supplies.
