Who is Noura Al Neyadi ?
Noora Al Neyadi is an Emirati documentary photographer whose passion for using powerful images to tell stories has taken her to different parts of the world, including the Arctic.
Her most famous project is “Eye Stories,” which she created during the peak of COVID-19 pandemic.
In this project, Noora documented the heroic journey of 148 frontline healthcare workers by focusing only on their eyes.
Over three weeks, Noora visited five COVID testing tents in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.
The idea for this project came to Noora after seeing the effort her mother, who is a healthcare worker, was putting in.
During the Health and Fitness Week at Expo 2020 Dubai, Noora Al Neyadi discussed the role of photography as a tool to humanize those who may sometimes become just a number.
