Mohamed bin Zayed welcomes the President of Iraq

President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq.
They met at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi during his official visit to the UAE.

The two leaders discussed the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and Iraq.
They also explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in ways that serve their mutual interests and contribute to the development and prosperity of their peoples.

HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended a warm welcome to the Iraqi President, describing the UAE as his second home.

President of the UAE and his Iraqi counterpart discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.

During the meeting, the leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Including economic, investment, development, and renewable energy.
They also explored ways to further expand these collaborative efforts.

The discussions also addressed several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
With a particular focus on developments in the Middle East.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of pursuing a clear path toward a comprehensive and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
They highlighted the need of diplomatic efforts that support the aspirations of the region’s peoples for security, stability, and development.

HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reaffirmed the strength of UAE-Iraq relations.
Besides the UAE’s unwavering commitment to supporting Iraq’s stability and the aspirations of its people for progress and prosperity.

He expressed the shared desire of both nations to explore new avenues of cooperation.

Especially in light of ongoing regional developments.

In turn, the Iraqi President expressed his gratitude to His Highness, President of the UAE, for the warm hospitality.
He commended the UAE’s steadfast support for the Iraqi people.

He also wished the UAE continued progress and prosperity and reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the UAE in ways that benefit both nations and the wider region.
