A Meeting between President of the State, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and King Mohammed VI in the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with King Mohammed VI of Morocco on December 4, 2023.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the strong bilateral relations between their countries.
As well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed King Mohammed VI to the UAE and praised the close ties between the two countries.
President of the State: the UAE and Morocco are committed to working together to promote peace and stability in the region.
King Mohammed VI congratulated Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on the UAE’s 52nd National Day and wished the country continued progress and prosperity.
He also expressed his support for the UAE’s efforts to host the 28th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP28).
The two leaders discussed ways to expand cooperation in various areas.
Including trade, investment, development, and culture.
They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East, including the situation in Palestine.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed said that the UAE and Morocco share a common interest in promoting peace and stability in the region.
In addition, he reiterated the UAE’s support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The two leaders concluded their meeting by reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship between the UAE and Morocco.
Agreements signed between UAE and Morocco.
In addition to their discussions, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and King Mohammed VI signed a number of agreements to promote cooperation between the two countries.
These agreements cover a wide range of areas, including:
- Investment in the Moroccan high-speed rail project, as well as water infrastructure in Morocco.
- Development cooperation, a partnership between ADNOC and OCP and in the Moroccan phosphate company.
- Investments in Morocco in many fields such as: energy projects, agriculture and fisheries, airports and ports.
In addition to investment in the Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline. - Cooperation in the financial markets.
- Investment in tourism and real estate as well as data storage.
The signing of these agreements is a significant step forward in the UAE-Morocco relationship.
They will help to boost trade, investment, and cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of areas.
