Continue the Legacy of the Late Sheikh Zayed
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the national program “Plant the Emirates” to stimulate the agricultural sector in the UAE.
The program aims to continue the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, in greening and cultivating the land of the UAE through agriculture.
In a post on his X account, His Highness stated:
“Brothers and sisters …
Today, we are launching a national program to activate and stimulate the agricultural sector in the UAE.
During an extraordinary Cabinet meeting held at the Al Marmoom Farms.”
Ensuring Sustainability
He added:
“The national program ‘Plant the Emirates’ aims to carry on the legacy of Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, and his directive to green and cultivate the land of the UAE through agriculture.
It aims to spread the culture of agriculture in every school and home and among our new generations.”
His Highness continued:
“Plant the Emirates’ program aims to enhance our food security and develop our agricultural technologies.
Besides building new partnerships with the private sector and expanding the green area in our country to ensure its sustainability.”
He further stated:
“As part of this program, the Cabinet has approved the establishment of the National Agricultural Center.
This center will be a major driver for this sector in the coming period.
By providing technical and technological support to the sector, building partnerships, establishing initiatives and institutions, and supporting products.”
Everyone is Invited to be Part of “Plant the Emirates” Project
His Highness concluded:
“The agriculture of the UAE is Sheikh Zayed’s directive.
It is a guarantee of security and sustainability for this blessed land and its beloved soil.
