Reem Hospital, affiliated with Investcorp, in cooperation with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and the Health Services Company, “Health”, has equipped the 80-bed hospital Dar Al-Shifa Hospital in Khalifa City A and operated it to support the UAE government in its efforts to eradicate the new Corona pandemic.

Reem Hospital management volunteered to operate the 80-bed hospital in Dar Al-Shifa Hospital as a non-profit initiative, starting from April 22nd, and to equip it as a place for quarantine and caring for people with the emerging coronavirus, as part of its commitment to support the determined efforts of the UAE to combat the emerging epidemic of Corona and protect society.
Zaid Al-Siksik, Chairman of Reem Hospital, said: “We are honoured to support the rational leadership directives of the UAE during these challenging circumstances. The senior executive management team, our employees, and our suppliers have worked around the clock during the past two weeks to support the operation efforts of Dar Al-Shifa Hospital, and provide additional beds that enhance The current capabilities of the medical sector, and assistance to health facilities in the country, it is our honour to cooperate with SEHA, to provide support and expertise in combating the new Corona epidemic.”

When will the opening of the Reem Hospital?
It is noteworthy that Reem Hospital is currently under construction on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, and is scheduled to open in the second half of this year, and will include 200 beds, and focuses on rehabilitation after acute injuries and gynaecological and pediatric medical services, in addition to outpatient and surgical services.
