Route History
Emirates began operating flights between Newcastle International Airport (NCL) and Dubai in September 2007.
Initially, the route was served by an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The airline quickly recognized the growing demand and upgraded the route to a larger wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft.
Since its inception, the Newcastle–Dubai route has become a vital link for passengers traveling for business, leisure, or to visit friends and family.
Over the years, more than 3 million passengers have flown between the North East of England and Dubai using this route.
Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, Emirates remains committed to serving this region.
