New Package of Improvements in the UAE’s Lifting Travel Ban Service
The Ministry of Justice has announced the implementation of a new package of improvements.
The improvements will accelerate the service system provided to various segments of the public.
These improvements include streamlining bureaucratic procedures related to the “Lifting Travel Ban” service provided by the Federal Public Prosecution in the UAE.
The ministry highlighted that the most significant improvements within the Federal Public Prosecution services have achieved a 100% reduction in processing time for legal procedures related to travel bans—from several working days to mere minutes.
Mentioning that they are part of the “Government Bureaucracy Reduction” program.
“Tasfeer” program by the Ministry of Justice
This step is part of a fresh push to accelerate the support for “Tasfeer” program, aligned with the federal government’s priorities.
It underscores the strategic plan of the Ministry of Justice for this year, which aims at:
- Enhancing the judicial system
- Strengthening the role of the judiciary
- Improving judicial efficiency
- Facilitating access to justice
- Bolstering the UAE’s global competitiveness
Lifting Travel Ban” service transformed into a Proactive Process
The ministry emphasized that the recent updates to the “Lifting Travel Ban” service will significantly simplify and reduce unnecessary government procedures and requirements.
This marks a new phase in government work in the UAE.
Furthermore, Lifting Travel Ban service has been transformed into a proactive process.
Eliminating the need for individuals to request it.
The number of steps associated with providing the service has been reduced from nine to zero.
Resulting in faster transaction processing and the complete elimination of legal formalities for applicants.
The new mechanism has also reduced the required attachments for the service to just one document—the conclusion of the legal case or the legal reason for issuing the travel ban.
Additionally, the processing time for lifting travel ban requests has been reduced from full working days to a few minutes, achieving a 100% reduction.
These efforts by the ministry will contribute to improving the quality of life in society and supporting sustainable national economic development.
