The New Self-Service converts maintenance licenses for construction works to self-service licenses without the municipality’s engineers review.
Also it cancels simple maintenance licenses and painting licenses.
It also reduces the number of steps and simplifies the license application process to a quick and self-service license.
Eng. Layali Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, Director of Building Permits Management at Dubai Municipality, said:
“The self-service building maintenance service is an electronic service.
Which enables customers to obtain a license to carry out maintenance and repair on the building’s structural defects themselves.
Also the license is granted and completed self-service through the Dubai Building Permits System on the municipality’s website.”

Especially as the current target group is 1,000 companies registered in the Dubai Building Permits System.
The request for a self-service maintenance work license is classified into:
-Simple maintenance works.
-Self-construction maintenance works.
-Specialized maintenance works.
The new service also exempts the need to obtain a maintenance license for any work that aims to preserve the building by repairing non-structural defects in it.
