Important notice for transit travelers through Dubai to Beirut from Emirates airlines
Emirates Airlines has announced that transit travelers through Dubai to Beirut will not be allowed to travel on August 1 and 2.
This was by a statement on Emirates’ website:
“Due to ongoing disturbances in Lebanon, transit travelers through Dubai to Beirut will not be accepted on August 1 and 2.”
The statement added that “customers starting their journey from Dubai or Beirut will be accepted.
Emirates apologizes for any inconvenience caused.”
It continued: “Customers wishing to change their travel plans should contact their booking agents or the local Emirates office for rebooking options.
Customers can check the latest information about their flights by visiting the ‘Flight Status’ page.”
Emirates also urged customers to ensure the accuracy of their contact details by visiting ‘Manage Your Booking’ to receive the latest updates about their flights.
What are the airlines that cancelled Beirut flights ?
Other airlines have also stopped their flights to Beirut airport, or issued similar notice to transit travelers due to the crucial situation in Lebanon.
Aegean said it would suspend flights until Thursday, while Condor cancelled Tuesday’s flight from Dusseldorf.
A number of other carriers have suspended, delayed or cancelled some flights, although Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport listed arrivals on Tuesday from airlines including Pegasus, Royal Jordanian, EgyptAir, Iran Air, Qatar Airways and Etihad.
2 Daily Flights By Emirates Airlines to Bali in Peak Season
Emirates Airlines has announced the operation of a second daily flight with the Airbus A380 between Dubai and Bali, starting from September 1 until October 26, 2024.
As the airline wants to meet the increasing demand for travel to the island during the peak season.
In a statement today, the airline said it will operate flight number “EK 398/399” with the Airbus A380 instead of the current Boeing 777.
This upgrade follows the great success of launching the first Emirates A380 service to Indonesia on June 1, 2023.
It will also help connect travelers from Indonesia to Dubai and beyond through Emirates’ global network.
Over 2,600 Additional Seats
With two daily A380 flights to Bali, the airline will provide more than 2,600 additional seats weekly to and from the island.
This will surely meeting the increasing demand during the peak travel season.
Emirates launched a daily non-stop service from Dubai to Bali in 2015.
Adding to its flights to Jakarta which began in 1992.
Emirates’ network covers more than 144 destinations worldwide, currently operating two daily flights to Jakarta and Bali.
