The Fourth Marketing Exhibition for Productive Families in Al-Mukalla
Emirates Red Crescent Authority recently launched the fourth marketing exhibition for productive families.
This is in coincide with the tourist season known as “Najm Al-Baladah.”
The event featured the participation of 61 productive families from Al-Mukalla directorate.
In addition to 39 productive families from Ghail Bawazir directorate in Hadhramaut Governorate.
The primary goal was to showcase the talents of these families.
Besides supporting women entrepreneurs and promoting small-scale projects within the local economy.
Emirates Red Crescent Efforts Appreciated
The exhibition took place at “Al-Mansha” (The Platform) in the coastal area of Hadhramaut.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Mubarak bin Madi, the Governor of Hadhramaut.
And also in partnership with the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in the coastal region.
During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Basereih, the Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut, expressed appreciation on behalf of the local authorities for the efforts of the ERC in supporting this exhibition and the productive families in the governorate.
He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the development of small projects.
And also with economic empowerment of women, and sustainable development in the region.
Providing opportunities for these families to market their products is essential for enhancing their livelihoods and contributing to the local economy.
Diverse Range of Activities
Ahmed Badrous, the Director-General of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in the coastal area of Hadhramaut, also praised the active role played by Emirates Red Crescent in Hadhramaut, especially during the tourist season.
The diverse activities included not only the exhibition for productive families, but also a blood donation tent for thalassemia patients.
In addition to first aid services for both local residents and guests from outside the governorate.
Engineer Hamed Salem Qwaya, the supervisor of projects at the UAE Red Crescent Authority, highlighted the importance of empowering productive families and providing effective marketing platforms.
Encouraging initiative and innovation among these families is crucial.
Productive Families Marketing Exhibition – Sections
The fourth edition of this marketing exhibition runs until July 30th.
It aims to showcase the talents of these families and support women entrepreneurs.
As well as small-scale projects in Hadhramaut, ultimately contributing to the local economy.
The exhibition features several sections, including:
Handicrafts, heritage items, tailoring, textiles, incense, perfumes, accessories, crochet work, and traditional cuisine.

In a related context, the ERC also launched first aid services for drowning incidents.
It also provided health education services during the “Najm Al-Baladah” season.
This included a blood donation campaign for thalassemia patients and genetic blood disorders.
In collaboration with the National Blood and Research Center and the Sada Foundation for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders.
