Najwa Qassem is an anchor and presenter of Lebanese political shows, the most popular one being Hadath Al-Youm that aired on both Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath TV channels.
On 2 January 2020, Qassem died from a heart attack, although having had no prior health problems.
Najwa was 52, operated for Saudi Arabian news channel Al Arabiya as a leading presenter, where she broadcasting provincial news, including the Iraq war, and the killing of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri in 2005.
The source of her death was not revealed but Najwa last twittered on Wednesday, distributing a video of Burj Khalifa’s fireworks show and asking and wishing her 208,000 followers a happy new year.
Qassem covered news of wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon, and worked for 11 years in the Lebanese channel ‘Future TV’ before moving to Al-Arabiya in 2004.
Najwa Qassem stimulated to Al Arabiya News Channel in 2003 where she lived violence on Al Arabiya’s Baghdad news station while covering the Iraq war – eight of her co-workers were killed in the attack.
Najwa Qassem reported on the 2005 assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri and on the front lines of the Lebanese-Israeli war in 2006.
She presented numerous news shows and present affairs statements with Al Hadath, taking covered selections, conflicts, conferences and more.
Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Investigation Affairs Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al-Mansoori said that all indications and initial medical examination confirmed that the death of the Lebanese media broadcaster, Al-Arabiya, Najwa Qassem, is normal as a result of a heart attack, pointing out that the Dubai police took their usual measures and included Examination by forensic experts with forensic evidence, likely confirming the outcome of the initial examination.

Al-Mansouri confirmed that the Dubai police inspection and investigations concluded that something out of the ordinary in the details that preceded the death of the Lebanese media, ruled out the existence of any criminal suspicion.
Najwa occupation began in 1992 with Approaching TV News Station in Lebanon where she broadcasting numerous appearances and described on Israeli military operations against Lebanon and its withdrawal from South Lebanon.
