The Mother of the Nation Jiu-Jitsu Cup kicked off in a thrilling competitive atmosphere.
Drawing a large audience at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy in Abu Dhabi.
The first day saw intense matches in the U-12, U-14, and U-16 categories.
It featured talented female athletes eager to claim one of the most prestigious local titles.
The inclusion of the U-12 category in this year’s championship marks a significant step forward in the development of jiu-jitsu.
It is reinforcing the federation’s commitment to empowering young female athletes and preparing them for the future.
At the end of the first day’s competitions, Baniyas Club secured the top position.
Followed by Al Ain Club in second place, and Al Jazira Club in third.

The Championship High Level
Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, praised the strong performances and high technical level of the competition, reflecting clubs’ dedication to enhancing their players’ skills.
He stated:
“This championship is a fundamental pillar in supporting female athletes and preparing them for future challenges.
It provides them with a platform to test their skills and gain experience through high-level competition.”
He emphasized that introducing the U-12 category aligns with the federation’s strategic vision to build a strong base of young talents.
Besides paving the way for future achievements at all levels.
Al Dhaheri also highlighted the UAE’s leadership in jiu-jitsu.
He attributed this success to the wise vision of the nation’s leadership, which prioritizes women’s empowerment across all fields, including sports.
The UAE welcomed Saudi Arabia’s hosting of talks between the United States and Ukraine on Thursday.
