On the Occasion of Eid Al Adha, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, may God protect him. Affirmed that Eid is an occasion for compassion, love, and tolerance.
Via his Twitter official account,Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated Muslims and Arabs with a tweet. He wrote:
“I congratulate my brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, its people and residents, and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
I pray to Allah Almighty that peace and security prevail throughout the world.
Eid is an occasion for compassion, love, and tolerance, and humanity needs to draw inspiration from these meanings for a world characterized by stability and prosperity.”

While Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Derai, delivered the Eid sermon titled “Our Eid is a Family Cohesion”.
During the sermon he emphasized the importance of strengthening family cohesion.
As he stated that the family is the source of joy and happiness and a precious gift from God Almighty.
Also it is of great value that should be celebrated on every occasion and festival.
He stressed the importance of showing kindness and gratitude to parents, and gathering with family members on happy occasions in an atmosphere of love and tranquility.
Then cited the story of the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his son Ismail.
Since the story inspires us about the position and importance of the father in every household.
Also he mentioned how Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) sought the help of Ismail in building the Kaaba, as mentioned in the Quranic verses.
By the end of his sermon, Dr. Al Derai prayed that Allah Almighty would bless everyone with the joy and blessings of this blessed occasion and that the UAE would continue to enjoy stability and prosperity.
After performing the Eid prayer …
His Highness the President of the UAE exchanged greetings with the worshippers on the occasion of this auspicious occasion.
Then, he and the other sheikhs visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, may Allah have mercy on him.
They have recited the Fatiha (opening chapter of the Quran) for his soul, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow upon him His mercy and pleasure and to reward him generously for what he had done for his people and his nation.
