Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, has honored the six winners of the first cycle of “Great Arab Minds” initiative.
This initiative is the largest of its kind in the Arab world to recognize outstanding Arab minds with exceptional and distinguished contributions in the fields of knowledge, science, technology, design, culture, and creativity.
During the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also announced the launch of a permanent scientific center within the Museum of the Future.
Moreover, the center will support the scientific and knowledge journey of Arab geniuses on a permanent basis.
He further directed the allocation of 100 million dirhams to support Arab research.
The awarded individuals by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum include:
- Dr. Hani Najm in the field of medicine
- Professor Fadel Adib in the field of engineering and technology
- Dr. Mohamed El-Erian in the field of economics
- Professor Nivine Khasha in the field of natural sciences
- Architect Lina Al Ghamta in the field of architecture and design
- Professor Wasini Al-Araj in the field of literature and arts
