Alisson Becker Reveals A Fact About Mohamed Salah
Alisson Becker, Liverpool’s goalkeeper, revealed the one thing Mohamed Salah “doesn’t like” in football after the Egyptian star scored twice in the match against Bournemouth.
Salah once again stood out with Liverpool yesterday, leading the team to a victory against Bournemouth.
Propelling the Reds to the top of the Premier League with a nine-point lead over their nearest rivals.
Salah continues his stellar performance this season, with 21 goals and 13 assists in just 23 league games.
Alisson, who played a pivotal role in the win, was happy to praise his teammate after the match.
Despite Salah enjoying a great season, Alisson revealed that there is an aspect of the game that the 32-year-old player doesn’t like.
Alisson Becker: “The second goal shows Salah’s quality.”
Alisson told Sky Sports:
“The second goal shows Salah’s quality.
We all know how important he is to the team when he scores such goals.
But we need to highlight his hard work for the team.
Defending is something he doesn’t like doing, but he does it for the team.”
Salah surpassed Chelsea legend Frank Lampard to become the sixth-highest scorer in Premier League history with 178 goals.
Liverpool looks towards domestic competitions
Liverpool will now turn its focus to other competitions.
Facing Tottenham in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday, after losing the first leg 1-0.
The team will also face Plymouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Brilliance of Mohamed Salah in Numbers
Salah’s brace against Bournemouth brought his tally this season to 21 goals in just 23 Premier League matches.
Salah has exceeded 20 goals in a league season with Liverpool in four previous seasons:
2017-18 (32 goals), 2018-19 (22 goals), 2020-21 (22 goals), and 2021-22 (23 goals).
Salah is one of only five players in Premier League history to score 20 or more goals in five or more seasons.
Alongside Alan Shearer (7 times), Thierry Henry (5 times), Sergio Aguero (6 times), and Harry Kane (6 times).
With 178 goals, Salah surpassed Frank Lampard to become the sixth-highest scorer in Premier League history.
Trailing Sergio Aguero (fifth place) by six goals and Andrew Cole (fourth place) by nine goals.

Liverpool’s Modern legend
Since joining the club from AS Roma in 2017, Mohamed Salah has established himself as one of the greatest players in Liverpool’s history.
The Egyptian star has led the Reds to win all domestic titles, including the UEFA Champions League in 2019.
Although Erling Haaland broke Salah’s record for most goals scored in a single Premier League season (38 games) in the 2022/23 season, Salah continues to write his name in Liverpool’s records.
Liverpool fans hope his brilliance will continue for a longer period, especially with his contract ending this summer.
