Mohamed bin Zayed: Embracing and integrating children into society reflects a sense of community responsibility
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, received a number of foster mothers.
During the reception, held at Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi, His Highness welcomed the mothers.
His Highness expressed his gratitude and appreciation for their kind humanitarian initiatives in fostering children and integrating them into society.
By providing them with a healthy family, psychological, and social life that benefits both them and the community.
His Highness emphasized that their fostering of these children reflects a sense of social responsibility.
Noting that they serve as role models for others in promoting the values of giving, humanity, and social solidarity that characterize the UAE community.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also stressed the state’s support for individuals and organizations that care for those children.
Underscoring the importance of community participation in sharing responsibility for them by fostering and providing them with a family environment.
Maternity Leave Support for Women Working in the Private Sector
Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority emphasized six conditions and criteria for “Maternity Leave Support for Women Working in the Private Sector” initiative.
This initiative is part of Emirati Family Growth Support programme, launched by the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi.

If you want to gain Maternity Leave Support for Women Working in the Private Sector, check the below:
- Be registered in her husband’s family book issued from Abu Dhabi.
- Be Employed in the private sector.
- Obtain a no-objection certificate from her employer to extend her maternity leave to 90 days.
- Submit a request for the service within 30 days of the birth.
- Provide the details of the newborn’s Emirates ID card.
- This initiative applies to mothers who have given birth on or after September 1, 2024.
