The UAE Participates in BRICS Summit For the First Time
HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, is participating today, Tuesday, in the 16th BRICS Summit, hosted by Kazan city, Russia, from October 22 to 24.
This marks the UAE’s first participation in the summit as a member of the BRICS group.
During his official visit to Russia, His Highness discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin various aspects of bilateral relations.
Particularly in the areas of economy, trade, investment, and energy, within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries
As well as a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
Putin Welcomes Mohamed bin Zayed in Kremlin
The talks were held between Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Putin at Kremlin, as part of his official visit to the Russian Federation.
During the session, they reviewed the development of UAE-Russia relations in recent years.
Moreover, they emphasized commitment to strengthen these relations at all levels.
The meeting also touched on BRICS Summit and its role in supporting international collective efforts to achieve common global goals.
In this regard, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed commended President Vladimir Putin for his leadership of BRICS group during its current session.
His Highness has also wished Russia success in its presidency of the group.
Supporting Peace and Stability
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to build effective partnerships with various countries around the world.
As well as enhancing multilateral international cooperation to achieve sustainable development and prosperity for all the peoples of the world.
The two leaders also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of common interest.
In this context, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reiterated the UAE’s consistent approach of supporting efforts to reach peace and stability in the world.
Alongside advancing peaceful solutions and initiatives for conflicts and disputes.
They also reviewed the situation in the Middle East.
In this context, UAE President emphasized the need to prevent conflict expansion in the region.
As it threatens its security and stability.

Mohamed bin Zayed: “Just and Comprehensive Peace will be Achieved by the Two-state Solution”
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed stressed the need to find a clear political horizon for a just and comprehensive peace.
Based on “two-state solution” that ensures security and stability for everyone.
For his part, Vladimir Putin welcomed the UAE President, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the mediation efforts made by the UAE in recent periods.
As they resulted in the successful exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine.
UAE President, in turn, thanked the Russian government for its cooperation with the UAE in this matter, because it played a crucial role in the success of the efforts.
