Mohamed bin Zayed hosts ‘FIFA’ President Gianni Infantino

Today, at the Beach Palace, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, hosted Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the President of FIFA and wished him a fruitful visit to the United Arab Emirates During the meeting, the two sides discussed joint cooperation and collaboration between the sports authorities concerned in the United Arab Emirates and FIFA with a view to promoting and promoting Emirati football, in addition to the role of the game in consolidating the principles of tolerance and cooperation, as it is a language of tolerance and cooperation.

In view of the coronavirus pandemic, Sheikh Mohamed and Gianni Infantino examined the most significant obstacles and difficulties faced by the continuity of regional and international sports competitions and tournaments during 2020.

The President of FIFA praised the commitment of the UAE to host the most influential international sports forums and platforms that bring together sports stars, supporters and stakeholders from different countries around the world to explore ways of improving the sport in all its facets by taking into account diverse perspectives and offering innovative solutions and ideas.

The conference was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan & Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, President of Abu Dhabi Airports. Also Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association attended that meeting. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, President of the Executive Board, Member of the Executive Board, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court were also present.

This meeting comes right after Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, attended the Dubai Sports Conference last week. He also gave a speech and praised the UAE for its efforts in football and other sports too.
