UAE participates in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, met with a number of Foreign Ministers of countries in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with a number of Foreign Ministers of countries.
He met with Her Excellency Ivica Dačić, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
As well as His Excellency Senator Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
And also, Her Excellency Gemma Tutzoi Folguera, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra
In addition to His Excellency Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
During the meetings, they discussed the friendly relations and prospects of bilateral cooperation in several sectors.
including economic, trade, cultural, investment, energy, tourism, education, and food security.
The discussions also covered a number of files on the agenda of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Especially climate change, as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
The UAE prepares for COP28 which is full of aspirations and opportunities for fruitful partnerships.
His Highness notified the Foreign Ministers on the UAE’s preparations to host which will take place in November and December 2023 in Dubai Expo City.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed that the challenges facing the world today require a joint international effort and creative solutions.
For example: climate change requires desired transformation in the course of global climate action.
In fact, COP 28 is full of aspirations and opportunities that make it possible to build constructive and fruitful partnerships.
Which will lead to practical, effective, and well-studied solutions to the climate crisis.
Strong relations between the UAE and all countries across the world.
During his meeting with the Foreign Ministers, His Highness expressed his pride in the distinguished relations between the UAE and their countries.
Also he stressed his keenness to strengthen the relations more to achieve common interests and support development goals for all.
In the same context, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.
They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.
As well as the ways to enhance them in a way that serves their mutual interests.
Following the meeting, His Highness and H.E Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Which is between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Raúl Roa García Higher Institute of International Relations in Cuba.
The meetings were attended by Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy.
In addition to the Minister of State for International Cooperation, His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
Also, Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Development.
And Her Excellency Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations.
