Meta is preparing to launch its next-generation smart glasses in collaboration with Ray-Ban.
These glasses will be available in several countries and they are already available in select global markets.
They were developed in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica and are powered by Meta’s artificial intelligence technology.
Soon in the UAE.
Meta announcement came by a post on its official blog.
The post confirms that India is among the upcoming launch regions.
Along with Mexico and the UAE, according to a report published by Gizmochina and reviewed by Al Arabiya Business.
Meta’s smart glasses were first launched in September 2023 as a follow-up to the Ray-Ban Stories.

What Are the Features of Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses ?
Users can ask questions, control music playback, take photos and videos, and send messages.
All hands-free by simply saying “Hey Meta.”
The glasses support voice and video calls via WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram.
Now, they also allow for direct messaging on Instagram.
Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses feature a 12MP camera capable of recording 1080p videos.
They’re equipped with open-ear speakers and support live streaming on Facebook and Instagram.
One of the standout features is a new real-time translation tool and it works offline if the necessary language packs are downloaded in advance.
This tool supports 32 languages, including English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

“Look and See”
In markets where Meta Ray-Ban Smart glasses are already available, users are also testing a beta feature called “Look and See”.
This feature is a vision-based AI tool that responds to the surrounding context.
While Meta hasn’t disclosed the exact launch date or pricing for the new markets, the glasses retail for $299 in the U.S.
They’re expected to roll out with all the latest features, including:
- Offline translation
- Voice assistance
- Integration with popular music platforms like Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music
