The UAE has inaugurated Madhol Field Hospital in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, South Sudan.
This was under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The inauguration was attended by ministers and officials from both the UAE and South Sudan.
Along with representatives from international organizations.
Madhol Field Hospital: A Vital Addition to Healthcare Sector
The hospital’s establishment, overseen by the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, aligns with the UAE’s humanitarian mission to support underserved communities and assist populations struggling to access essential life services, particularly healthcare.
Madhol Field Hospital will become a vital addition to South Sudan’s healthcare sector.
Due to the urgent need of medical treatment among men, women, and children.
Especially in regions battling challenges such as malaria outbreaks due to limited medical infrastructure and medication shortages.

A Commitment to Sustainable Humanitarian Efforts
During the hospital’s inauguration, Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, reaffirmed that the UAE’s development and humanitarian initiatives are an integral part of the nation’s commitment to supporting communities in need worldwide.
He stated:
“The inauguration of Madhol Field Hospital reflects the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan in spreading goodwill and generosity.
It also embodies the visionary leadership of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in fostering solidarity and addressing health challenges through sustainable solutions in regions facing severe healthcare shortages.”
