The New LEGO Store at Dubai International Airport: A Fun and Interactive Digital and Physical Experience
Lagardère Travel Retail and LEGO Travel Retail officially opened the world’s largest LEGO store at Dubai International Airport.
This was in conjunction with the celebration of World LEGO Day.
The store is located in Concourse B, Building 3, and it covers an area of 190 square meters.
It was designed using giant LEGO pieces and models, and it features interactive areas to stimulate creativity and participation.
Interactive Digital Experiences
As soon as guests enter the store, they are greeted by an interactive experience.
Through a miniature scanner that brings to life the miniature LEGO models on the screen.
The store also features a digital display case that uses augmented reality to display LEGO sets.
Moreover, customers can place a LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set in front of the screen’s camera.
So they can see a short animated sketch of the set with inspiring ideas on how to arrange it in different shapes.
The new store offers a digital and physical experience by seamlessly blending innovation, play, and technology.
Through this store, Lego aimed to create a fun space that inspires innovation in travelers, not just a destination to shop for the latest LEGO sets.
That’s why Lego hired a team of LEGO enthusiasts and passionate creators.
This team will support and activate Lego vision for this space and create unforgettable experiences for travelers through Dubai International Airport.
Eugene Barry, Executive Vice President of Commercial Affairs at Dubai Airports, commented:
“By opening the world’s largest LEGO store in an airport, we are offering a great and fun shopping destination in itself.
“Our partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail and LEGO Travel Retail reaffirms our commitment at Dubai Airports to enhance the airport experience for our guests overall.
And also to meet the changing needs and expectations of travelers through partnerships and innovative experiences.”
