The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has outlined a new process to benefit from the option of “leaving the UAE without paying financial fines.”
This option is part of the campaign called “Exemption of Violators of Entry and Residence Systems from Fines”.
The ICA is implementing this campaign for a period of two months until the end of October 2024.
Here are the steps for leaving the UAE without paying financial fines :
- Access the Website:
- Visit the ICA’s official website: smartservices.icp.gov.ae.
- Navigate to General Services:
- On the website, find the menu options and select “General Services.”
- Choose “Fines and Exit Permits”:
- Within the General Services section, choose the option labeled “Fines and Exit Permits.”
- Select the Appropriate Service:
- You’ll be directed to a new page with five different options.
- Choose the option that corresponds to your situation: “Follow-up and Investigation – Permit – Departure – Issuance.”
- This service allows the issuance of an exit permit for violators of entry and residence laws in the UAE, whether they are residents or visa holders.
- Provide Required Information:
- Fill in the necessary details:
- Specify the type of case (residence or visa).
- Select the identifier (Unified Number, file number, or passport number).
- Choose the nationality of the applicant and provide their date of birth.
- Attach the required documents to complete the service.
- Fill in the necessary details:
Previously, leaving the UAE permit service fee was AED 350.
The new mechanism exempts applicants from paying this fee.
