Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest concentrated solar power project in the world.
In this special occasion, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said:
“The UAE has a clear vision and specific goals to become one of the most sustainable countries in the world.
This is evident in our launch of innovative, clean and renewable energy projects that are integrated into various economic sectors.
The solar park reflects our commitment to building a world-class infrastructure that achieves sustainability goals and lays a solid foundation for a green future.”
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid inaugurated the fourth phase of the Largest Solar Power Project.
He added:
“The launch of the fourth phase of the park comes within the achievements of Dubai in the year of sustainability.
It is also a part of our commitment to launching climate-friendly projects.
That are in line with the goals of the 2050 Net Zero Emissions Strategy.
It also supports the increasing reliance on a mix of sustainable energy.
As well as the expansion of the adoption of renewable and alternative energy sources.
This supports the comprehensive development goals of the UAE.
And also contributes to strengthening global efforts to combat the effects of climate change.
Our pursuit of sustainability is based on our commitment to ensuring a prosperous future for our people and our determination to contribute to creating a safe future for the people of the world.”

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park uses three combined technologies to produce clean energy.
The fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Solar Park, will have a production capacity of 950 megawatts.
Also it is the largest investment project.
Moreover, it uses three combined technologies to produce clean energy.
These include, a parabolic dish system with a total capacity of 600 megawatts and a concentrated solar power tower with a capacity of 100 megawatts.
In addition to photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 250 megawatts.
The project has attracted investments of 15.78 billion dirhams under the Independent Power Producer (IPP) system.
It also includes the world’s tallest concentrated solar power tower, which is 263.126 meters high.
As well as the world’s largest thermal energy storage capacity of 5,907 megawatt-hours.
The fourth phase of the park was attended by:
- Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Energy Council in Dubai.
- Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Security and Borders Security Council.
- As well as a number of ministers, government officials, and dignitaries in Dubai.
Upon his arrival, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was received by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
Al Tayer gave Sheikh Mohammed a briefing on the project.
We should mention that the fourth phase of the park covers a total area of 44 square kilometers.
While the project uses 70,000 heliostats that track the movement of the sun.
The fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is a major milestone in the UAE’s journey to a sustainable future.
Because it will help to reduce the UAE’s reliance on fossil fuels and contribute to the fight against climate change.
