Every year, the UAE hosts vibrant celebrations to mark Kuwait National Day on February 25.
Iconic landmarks across the country light up in the colors of the Kuwaiti flag.
Also shopping malls display congratulatory messages.
Cultural and heritage events are organized, highlighting the deep bonds between the two nations.
The UAE and Kuwait relationship is a model of strength and cooperation.
Both nations share deep-rooted diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties.
Those ties continue to flourish under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Moreover, Kuwait was among the first countries to establish official diplomatic relations with the UAE after its formation in 1971.
Adding that the UAE opened its embassy in Kuwait in 1972, and Kuwait established its embassy in Abu Dhabi the same year.
UAE President Congratulates the Emir of Kuwait
HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, sent his congratulations to HH Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, on the occasion of Kuwait National Day and Liberation Anniversary.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed posted his congratulations on his official X account, he wrote:
“I congratulate my brother, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait on their National Day.
I wish Kuwait continued progress, prosperity, and well-being.
The UAE and Kuwait relationship is a deep and historic brotherhood, and together, we work for a brighter future for both nations.”

Mohammed bin Rashid: “Our ties with Kuwait are based on brotherhood, love, and a shared history.”
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, also sent a similar congratulatory message.
So did His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Court.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also posted on X, stating:
“We extend our congratulations to Kuwait’s leadership and people on their National Day and Liberation Anniversary.
Our ties with Kuwait are based on brotherhood, love, and a shared history.
May Kuwait always remain strong and prosperous.”
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed echoed the sentiment, expressing his wishes for Kuwait’s continued progress and success.
Several Emirati leaders also sent congratulatory messages to the Emir of Kuwait, including:
Supreme Council members and Rulers of Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah.
While Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers across the UAE joined in celebrating Kuwait’s special occasion.

Economic and Trade Ties
The UAE and Kuwait share a dynamic economic relationship.
In 2024, non-oil trade between the two countries reached AED 50 billion ($13.5 billion), a 9% growth compared to 2023.
While mutual investments between the UAE and Kuwait totaled nearly AED 20 billion ($5 billion) by the end of 2022.
The UAE is Kuwait’s top global destination for non-oil exports, accounting for 22% of Kuwait’s global exports.
It ranks third among Kuwait’s top import markets, following China and the United States.
Both countries continue to explore new economic opportunities in alignment with UAE Vision 2031 and Kuwait Vision 2035.
Collaboration in Education and Culture
The UAE and Kuwait also share strong cultural and educational ties.
Over 1,725 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in UAE universities.
Kuwait has introduced new policies encouraging students to pursue higher education in the UAE, further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

UAE Participates in Kuwait National Day Festivities
Abu Dhabi Police took part in Kuwait’s National Day celebrations at the Kuwaiti Embassy in the UAE.
The event featured:
- A parade led by Abu Dhabi Police cavalry.
- A bicycle unit and security patrols.
- A live musical performance by the Police Band.
As Kuwait celebrates its 64th National Day, the UAE stands by its side, honoring a history of strong friendship and a future of shared prosperity.
