The President of Indonesia “Joko Widodo” is on a state visit to the UAE
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, received today His Excellency Joko Widodo, the President of the friendly Republic of Indonesia, who is on a state visit to the UAE.
A formal reception ceremony held to welcome His Excellency Joko Widodo upon the arrival of his convoy at Qasr Al Watan in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
Details about the Reception Ceremony
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan accompanied the guest of the nation to the honor platform.
Where the national anthems of both the UAE and the Republic of Indonesia were played.
Additionally, a 21-gun salute welcomed President Joko Widodo’s visit.
Traditional folk art performances were also presented in celebration of his visit.
Upon the convoy’s arrival at the palace, the UAE National Aerobatic Team, known as the “UAE Knights,” performed aerial displays in the skies over the palace, forming an Indonesian flag.
The reception committee included:
- His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs
- His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
- His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, among other dignitaries

- Eric Tuheir, Minister of State and Institutions owned by the State and a number of senior State officials
