Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova replies to Biden Speech.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that US President Joe Biden’s statement that supporting Ukraine and Israel is an “investment” reveals that Washington is profiting from proxy wars and not fighting for ideas.
Zakharova said on the Telegram app that Biden’s comments are condescending.
She added: “They used to call it ‘the fight for freedom and democracy’… and now it turns out that this is just a calculation.
It has always been this way, they have deceived the world by exploiting values that Washington has never actually defended.”
Zakharova continued: “Wars are usually ‘smart investments’ for the United States as long as they do not take place on American soil and they do not care about the price that others pay.”
