His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Denounces ISIS Crime Against Yazidis in Sinjar, Iraq, on August 3, 2014 on the ninth anniversary of the heinous crime.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also affirmed that ISIS Crime against Yazidis reminds the world of the importance of tolerance and coexistence.
The Yazidis are a religious minority in Iraq who have been persecuted for centuries.
In 2014, ISIS swept through Sinjar and committed a series of atrocities against the Yazidis, including mass killings, rape, and enslavement.
Moreover, the heinous crime of ISIS against the Yazidis committed against a peaceful people who did not commit any sin.
Also, this crime is a crime against humanity and cannot be forgiven.
Yesterday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed wrote on his official account, through the “X” platform (Twitter previously):
“The ninth anniversary of the heinous crime committed by the terrorist organization “ISIS”.
Which was against the Yazidis and others in Sinjar, Iraq, on August 3, 2014, is a sad occasion.
This sad occasion reminds the whole world of the importance of working to strengthen the principles of tolerance and coexistence.
As well as rejecting extremism and contempt for human beings because of differences in religion, sect, or race.”
Furthermore, the Yazidis welcomed the statement of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
Since they have been calling for international action to hold ISIS accountable for its crimes for a long time.
Mentioning that the UAE government totally rejects ISIS crimes against humanity.
Also, the UAE supports all the international efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East and the whole world.
Especially in the countries suffering from hard conditions such as: Yemen, Sudan, Palestine and Syria.
After all, we need to work together to reject extremism and contempt for human beings because of differences in religion, sect, or race.
Also we must remember that all human beings are equal and that every human being deserves respect and dignity.
We call on all countries to work together to prevent the recurrence of such crimes.
We must put an end to extremism, violence, and promote peace and coexistence among all people.
