The UAE Surpassed 111 International Markets with Mobile Internet Speed
The UAE has maintained its top global ranking for the speed of mobile internet services provided by telecom operators.
By the end of November 2024, global records confirmed that it is surpassing 111 international markets.
According to Speedtest index, the UAE also achieved the third global ranking in fixed broadband services.
And with that it climbed four positions from its seventh global ranking at the end of 2023.
This huge improvement is attributed to the ongoing efforts of telecom providers to develop network infrastructure in the country.
The Best Internet Services in the World
The index data revealed that most of GCC countries are continuously leading in mobile internet speeds.
Mentioning that the UAE recorded a network speed of 443 Mbps in November.
Qatar followed the UAE taking the second position globally with a speed of 358.2 Mbps.
While Kuwait took the third position with 263.5 Mbps.
Those three countries demonstrated a clear difference in quality and speed compared to many developed markets with high-quality communications.
For example, Bulgaria recorded a speed of 172.4 Mbps and Denmark recorded 162.2 Mbps.
While South Korea recorded a speed of 148.3 Mbps.
On the other hand, the speed of fixed internet in the UAE exceeded 300.6 Mbps.
It is significantly outperforming several countries with robust infrastructure.
Such as Chile with a speed of 280 Mbps, France with 267.2 Mbps, the United States with 262.5 Mbps, and Iceland with 241.4 Mbps.
