On the 26th day of Ramadan and the night of the 27th, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque recorded the highest number of visitors in its history.
Total guests number reached over 105,310, including worshippers and those breaking their fast.
Among them, 77,710 were worshippers, with 11,483 performing Taraweeh prayers and 61,050 participating in the Tahajjud prayers.
Moreover, 27,600 people broke their fast at the mosque.
This created a cultural and spiritual gathering that brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds.
And it was supported by a comprehensive system of exceptional services.
The mosque’s halls, corridors, and outdoor courtyards were filled with worshippers.

Over 580 Volunteers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque on 27th Ramadan Night
The night was led by reciter Fawzi Buan and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque’s Imam, Idris Abkar, who prayed for the UAE’s continued security and prosperity, the success of its wise leadership, mercy for the nation’s founders and all deceased Muslims, and the acceptance of worshippers’ fasting and prayers.
As part of the mosque’s core value, “Volunteering in Gratitude for the Nation’s Giving,” and a key pillar of its strategic plans, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center formed task forces from all its employees to provide the necessary services to worshippers who came from all over the country to perform Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers.
These teams worked alongside volunteers groups from Emirates Red Crescent, “Absher Ya Watan”, “Maa’n”.
As well as police officers, paramedics, civil defense personnel, parking attendants, and traffic control teams.
The center doubled the number of volunteers to over 580, all dedicated to ensuring worshippers could perform their prayers smoothly and reverently.
Smooth Traffic Flow
As a proactive measure to accommodate the expected large turnout on the 27th night of Ramadan, the center provided 8,379 parking spaces.
Including 1,500 designated for women and 60 for people of determination.
Additional parking was made available in areas such as Sheikh Zayed Sports City,”Earth” Hotel, and the eastern mosque parking lots near Wahat Al Karama.
The center also provided shuttle bus services to transport worshippers between parking areas and the mosque.
Ensuring smooth traffic flow around the mosque and its entrances.
Abu Dhabi Police developed a comprehensive plan, increasing the number of officers and intensifying traffic patrols on all roads leading to the mosque to prevent congestion and delays.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center mobilized all its resources to serve worshippers.
From welcoming them at parking lots to organizing their entry into prayer halls.
More than 70 electric vehicles were provided to transport worshippers within the mosque.
Along with over 3,500 comfortable seats and more than 50 wheelchairs to assist senior citizens and people of determination.
18,000 Daily Visitors
To accommodate the large numbers of worshippers and visitors, the mosque’s courtyard was prepared with over 1,500 custom-made carpets inspired by the mosque’s main carpet.
Along with more than 30,000 disposable prayer mats.
Additionally, 3,000 Suhoor meals were distributed to worshippers after Tahajjud prayers.

The mosque’s teams continued working at a high pace after the 27th night.
They are still welcoming visitors during the morning hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Ensuring it provides round-the-clock services for worshippers and guests throughout Ramadan.
Over 18,000 daily visitors were coming during this holy month.
