His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent several official invitations to many presidents in the Middle East and other regions to attend COP28 after the announcement that Climate Conference 28 will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates this year.
On 19th June Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Official Invitation to attend COP28 was delivered by the UAE Ambassador “Salem Issa Qattam Al Zaabi” to the President of Iraq “Abdul Latif Rashid”.
The UAE Ambassador “Salem Issa Qattam Al Zaabi” conveyed greetings from “President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan” to the Iraqi President “Abdul Latif Rashid”.
The Iraqi president “Abdul Latif Rashid” thanked the Ambassador Salem Issa Qattam Al Zaabi for the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to attend COP28, wishing the UAE people prosperity and progress.
The Iraqi President “Abdul Latif Rashid” confirmed the strong relations between Iraq and the UAE, affirming the need to promote these relations in a way that serves the interests of both countries and enhances security and stability in the whole region.
Ambassador Al-Zaabi expressed appreciation for the warm reception, indicating that the UAE supports Iraq’s security, stability, and the well-being of the Iraqi people.
*The Climate Change Conference has been held annually since the first UN climate agreement in 1992. and this year the United Arab Emirates will host the 28th Climate conference from November 30th until December 12th, 2023 at the Expo City, Dubai.
