Abu Dhabi Police has introduced a high-tech security motorbike and a quad bike for patrolling protected desert areas.
The Department of Criminal Security Patrols at the Abu Dhabi Police has dispalyed the bikes at the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex).
The bikes have been equipped with the latest technology are being used by cops for special patrol tasks in hard-to-reach areas of the desert, including etect criminals, including those who are illegally hunting birds and animals from a long distance.
“These are unique bikes that allow patrol officers to respond to incidents quickly and go to the protected areas of the desert that normal patrol vehicles can’t reach,” according to a report of Khaleej Times at Adihex.
The launch of the bikes is part of the force’s strategy to safeguard the desert, protect the environment, and ensure public safety and security.
